利希慎堂學生會去屆幹事公然於評議會會議上作假證供，謊稱在塗鴉事件中，兩名同學先於舍監回覆幹事前已自首。但其實在同學自首前，舍監已透過幹事會呼籲同學自首。
今晚評議會就處理利希慎堂事件舉行緊急會議。利希慎堂去屆學生會幹事會列席會議接受評議會及基本會員查問。會眾多次就塗鴉事件的發生及處理經過查問去屆幹事會。幹事會在會議上稱，夜行活動負責人在清場時發現弔唁冊被塗鴉上不雅字句，並從弔唁冊中的部份字眼發現事情可能為堂友所為。負責人在發現事件後，馬上在 WhatsApp Group 通知其他籌委、組爸媽以及去屆幹事。去屆幹事之後就事件立刻通知舍監導師，而兩名肇事宿生則在舍監導師回覆去屆幹事前已經自首。兩名宿生已在翌日下午在舍監帶領下到李嘉誠醫學院致歉。去屆利希慎堂學生會幹事會外務副主席呂俊賢在會議上宣稱：「簡單嚟講就係我地即時 inform 咗 warden 同 tutor，喺 warden、tutor 回覆之前嗰兩位同學已經自首咗。」
然而，據本報所得的 WhatsApp Group 截圖顯示，利希慎堂學生會去屆幹事上面的描述並非實情。截圖顯示，發文時間為下午八時二十五分，發文人指醫學院當日早上發現了弔唁冊昨日被塗鴉，並通知利希慎堂舍監及導師。由於舍監希望事件能在醫學院檢查閉路電視片段作正式調查前，先行了解事件，並降低事件對肇事宿生的影響，因此呼籲同學可於12小時內聯絡發文人，主席，舍監或高級導師處理。幹事會則表示不會介入事件，只會作肇事者與舍監的中介，亦無權干涉處分事宜。訊息中更稱事件有機會涉及刑事毀壞，如果進入此法律程序就無法回頭。
