近日不少同學收到一條來歷不明的手機短信，指法律學會於一個名為Get 的網站提供會籍予同學。有同學對似表示困惑，擔心個人資料外洩。法律學會於昨晚（八日）向會員發電郵解釋事件，並指有「嚴格遵從私隱法例」。
該則不明短訊由一個 +61 的電話號碼發出，內容指「Law Association, HKUSU」在一個名為GET 的網站上提供會籍予短訊收件人，並附有超連結予收件人接受會籍。不少同學對此表示困惑，指未有在該網站上註冊；亦有同學懷疑是詐騙短訊而未有理會。
至昨晚（八日），法律學會透過Mass Email 向會員解釋事件。電郵中指去屆幹事曾與該平台簽定協議，由該平台向學會提供網上售票、產品銷售及會員記錄儲存服務。於現屆幹事上任前所舉辦的去年的superpass 活動，就曾使用該平台。
法律學會又指，該短訊乃是在導入會員資料至該程式作會員管理時，由程式自動生成。學會強調有嚴格遵從私隱法例處理會員個人資料，第三方不會取得有關資料，更保證沒有轉售資料或用作市場推廣活動。
去屆法律學會外務副主席丁皓天同學接受本報查詢時表示，去年的確有與該平台簽訂協議，但未有導入會員資料，僅在 Superpass 活動時，由會員自己輸入資料作記錄參加者之用。對於資料是否安全，丁同學則表示不能代表現屆幹事回答而不作回應。本報亦有致函現屆主席查詢，惟暫未獲回覆。
有會員表示法律學會的說法未能完全釋疑，未有清楚說明與GET的關係，及如何有符合法例要求處理資料。
