私隱專員早前致函會長，指政治及公共行政學會未有在發送電郵時保障會員私隱。評議會將會在四月十九日的緊急會議上討論事件。
署理會長黃程鋒日前電郵政政學會主席及一眾評議員，指早前接獲的私隱專員信件是關於一宗對政政學會的投訴。私隱專員指接獲政政學會會員投訴，指政政學會在去年底的一封關於召開特別會員大會的電郵中，未有妥善保護會員私隱，利用副本（cc）而非秘密副本（bcc）發送電郵，導致會員電郵地址外洩。黃提醒政政學會須留意《個人資料（私隱）條例 》中關於保護會員資料的規定。
黃程鋒指，經諮詢評議會修憲委員會後，以上事件將列入四月十九日的第三次評議會緊急會議議程，並邀請政政學會派代表出席會議。
據悉該封未有利用bcc 發出的電郵涉及約300名會員的電郵地址。政政學會其後於四月一日致函會員就事件道歉，保證將來不會發生同類事件。
