【校長論壇禮拜四晚舉行 學生座位先到先得 校友須預先登記】

校長論壇將定於星期四晚六點到七點半於陸佑堂舉行。座位以先到先得形式分配，學生及教職員須出示UID入場。校友則須於星期三中午起在網站上預先登記，亦可於論壇當日開始前排隊，如有開始時仍有座位則可入場。

【校長論壇－校友登記數分鐘已爆滿】

校長論壇校友登記部分於12時正開始，惟數分鐘內網站即公告經已滿座。等候名單登記頁面亦無法正常運作。

【校長論壇－張翔拒絕撤回聲明 重申反對暴力】

校長張翔7月18日傍晚六時出席校長論壇，與數百名師生校友公開對話。會上張翔多次重申反對任何形式的暴力行為，拒絕撤回聲明，又認為應先作調查確認警方行為屬暴力後再作譴責。張又會指捍衛學術以及言論自由，惟反對含仇恨和粗口字眼等低下言論。學生會署理會長黃程鋒認為大學應保護以及支持學生，張重申校方關心學生，最後寄語學生於週日7月21日遊行小心安全。

因應7月12日的學生要求，為時一小時半的校長論壇於7月18日下午六時於陸佑堂舉行。現場由法律學院副院長Prof. Simon Young 出任主持。學生會署理會長黃程鋒先作開場發言，就日前警員闖入港大校園事件向校長提問其立場以及日後如何防止。其後校長張翔致詞重申對於立法會事件的反對暴力立場，又指會捍衛言論自由。

警進校園前須獲批准 若警暴力屬過份應譴責

問答環節初始，張翔回應學生發問重申在警員進入校園前須取得批准；對於會否同樣譴責警方暴力，張再申若調查屬實會予以譴責。

環節後半部分再有提問若警察在張的承諾後再次闖入校園，張的回應會是如何。又指張為何可在7月1日立會事件兩天後便發表聲明譴責學生和市民，卻在有清楚影片相片證明警方始於6月9日的過份暴力行爲下沒有譴責警方，明顯反映張並不關心時事以及社會現況，這並不是港大校長應有的作為。又指張的言論代表的還有港大全體師生，質疑張作為科學家在發表聲明前並沒有深思熟慮。不談譴責暴力對錯與否，但張偏頗的聲明有違其立場。後促張回應學生首要訴求，問張會否撤回其引起激辯的聲明。

張認為警方事實上可以使用暴力，然而問題在於暴力是否屬於過份，他認為判斷暴力是否過份不是可以單憑影片相片便能作出判斷，應對此作出調查，而現時亦已有調查的計劃。若調查後確實屬過份暴力，這應當予以譴責。經Prof. Yang提醒會否撤回聲明的問題，張表示會維持原有立場譴責暴力。

問答環節尾聲，有人提醒張不應忽略警方早前的殘暴行為，問張會否對此同樣譴責警方。又質問張在發表聲明前是否應尋求進行獨立調查。若不譴責警方的話，應一視同仁，言行前後一致，撤回聲明；若不撤回，請同樣譴責警方。然而張拒絕對此作出回答。

梁家傑引孫中山為例 張指現代社會反對暴力

法律學院校友、資深大律師、公民黨主席梁家傑引孫中山先生為例，指出暴力有時或為解決問題的方法。就此提問張若可以的話會否重擬更恰當的聲明。張回答現是現代社會，他反對暴力，認為暴力完全不是解決方法，又指戰爭會阻礙發展我們今日能享受到的發明。

另外有人問及沒有民主政府，如何能有建設性對話？張稱自己不是從政，自己的職責是維持大學這一平台，這些問題留待政治學家回答。他指學生認為政府不是一人一票選舉產生因此沒有認受性，然後舉例稱美國總統也不是一人一票選出。

張貼海報屬言論自由 惟注意惡意仇恨言論

對於有人提問內地生撕毀海報又是否符合言論自由，張認為此種行為不是對的，然而有部分海報含有惡意仇恨言論和粗口字句，這些低下的行為不應在港大出現。

其後有內地博士生認為現校園過於政治化，原已有民主牆供表達政治言論，但現到處皆有張貼太多海報，並有不少遊客遊覽校園，向張提問校方對於民主牆外的張貼品會否有更多規管限制。張對此並沒有回應會否作出限制，不過認為應當心仇恨言論。

陳捷貴：支持校長

在場亦有不少人士前來支持張翔。有人準備了「反對語言暴力」、「反對校園欺凌」標語入場。親政府區議會大學選區議員、香港大學職員協會會長陳捷貴發言支持張翔。開初陳堅持用普通話發言，在現場會眾及主持要求下才改用英語發言。

黃程鋒：港大學生不需說教 大學應給予學生支持

於論壇尾聲，黃程鋒同學重申希望張回應是次論壇要點，回答會否同樣譴責警方。並表示港大學生不需要被說教紀律，希望無論社會情況多壞， 大學都能作為家一般給予學生支持，校長應當先保護學生而非警務人員。黃最後提問校長，對於即將參與本週日遊行的人士有否什麼說話或訊息，張表示校方關心學生安全，希望學生能注意安全、互相幫助。
