幹事會選舉 紅底蒼傲大敗
2019年度周年大選唯一的候選幹事會內閣蒼傲立場偏紅，遭同學猛烈抨擊；諮詢大會上的發言屢屢被揭失實、態度挑釁，多次違反議事規則。學苑更揭發蒼傲候選人與親中組織核心人物關係匪淺。最終三名候選人以極大比數落敗。由於蒼傲一閣激起很多同學關注選舉，因此是屆總投票率亦創近年新高。
港大領導層再有出缺
八月底校長張翔宣布，行政及財務副校長康諾恩和副校長（研究）賀子森已經請辭，將會先後於今年底及明年初提早離職。連同現時由王于漸署理的首席副校長及田之楠署理的大學拓展副校長，港大六個副校長職位有四個出缺。
性騷擾醜聞不斷 封口調查繼續
性騷擾和欺凌始終未能根絕，今年先後有牙醫學院和偉倫堂被揭醜聞。校方一貫回應有「既定機制」處理，但就現時情況，無論教育、宣傳、監察、投訴的機制明顯有重大缺陷，才會令這些卑劣的行徑一次又一次發生。
加宿費事件
大學建議下年宿費大幅增加兩成以作未來發展維修之用，引起不少同學驚訝。雖然最終加幅攤分三年增加，但事件揭露的牽涉大學對舍堂的政策規畫、現行黑箱式的諮詢機制、學生代表未有盡責發揮應有作用等問題。
研究生會修憲計畫失敗 逃避會員拖延大會
研究生會一直由中國學生把持，今年幹事意圖修憲，當中竟包括刪除繁體中文作官方語言的規定，又將修改憲章的門檻降低，引起研究生同學強烈反彈並成立修憲關注組反對。有同學發現周年大會連修憲提案的通知期不足，涉嫌違憲，加上會員強烈反對下，研究生會最終宣布撤回修憲，但多番拖延舉行周年大會。最終大會在八月底舉行，早前研究生會的「關於中環反《逃犯條例》示威騷亂」聲明亦於會上遭撤回。

私隱風波
今年先後有法律學會和政政學會遭指責洩漏會員私隱，政政學會更獲私隱專員發信關注。在對個人私隱日趨重視的年代，幹事應更為小心處理個人資料。其實，同學對社會、政府、政治有的期望，同樣適用於學生組織身上。

偽造收據案
事件由署理財務秘書對兩項不合理地高的印刷費起疑而起。承認偽造收據的時任文化聯會財務秘書連同其幹事會同遭通過遺憾動議。負責此案的工作小組建議，如將來有類此案件並對學生會造成實際損失，報警處理將會是唯一選項。
