理學院院務委員會日前召開關於取消「天文」及「數學／天文」兩個主修之會議，本報收到匿名消息透露會議細節。
當日會議由 Professor Yvonne Sadovy 主持，席間Sadovy不時發表個人意見，立場傾向支持取消兩主修科。Sadovy本來只想簡單詢問會眾是否贊成取消兩主修科，稱「May I have the Board’s approval please」，並沒打算投票表決，惟在場部份人士表示反對，要求投票。Sadovy表示她不希望讓會眾投票，因為投票會造成分歧(I would rather seek for an agreement rather than a vote because I think vote can be divisive.），又稱結果非常明確（It is very clear）。
其後，在場不少會眾要求不記名表票，讓會眾投票時無須受壓，惟S
會議將近完結時，理學院院長Professor Matthew Evans走近在場學生代表，有在場人士目擊院長以恫嚇的語調要求學生代表不要混淆個人意見和學生意見，亦有似斥責學生的行為惹來媒體關注，認為是學生導致大學備受爭議。
