近日本報接獲消息，在利希慎堂學生會於去年迎新期間的 Night Walk 活動中，有被蒙眼的同學被指示於弔唁冊上塗鴉。利希慎堂學生會幹事會回覆本報查詢，承認事件屬實，而涉事的兩名同學已搬離舍堂。
據悉事件發生於去年八月二十四日晚上的迎新活動期間，有參與蒙眼夜行的新生被帶往醫學院大樓，並獲指示在一本簿上隨意塗鴉，而該本薄實為醫學院一位前教授的弔唁冊。消息人士透露醫學院於翌日發現後通知舍堂方面，舍監介入希望肇事同學「自首」；幹事會則表示不會介入事件，只會作肇事者與舍監的中介，亦無權干涉處分事宜。
利希慎堂學生會幹事會承認迎新期間有發生上述事件，又稱有即時向舍監及導師滙報，並作即時處理；兩名涉事同學於翌日搬離舍堂作為處分。幹事會又回覆指迎新後，迎新籌委及時任幹事會曾與堂友作深入檢討及反省，並向醫學院有關部門報告。至於利希慎堂學生會有否向學生會評議會匯報事件，幹事會則未有回覆。
幹事會又指舍監導師及幹事會代表其後陪同涉事同學到醫學院交待及道歉，並承諾未來將更謹慎及妥善準備迎新活動，避免同類型事件再次發生；並呼籲各堂友及迎新籌委保持高度警惕及自律。
