去屆學生會大學事務秘書李梓成昨日於Facebook撰文，批評指去屆會長、校務委員會本科生代表黃程鋒與校長密談任命首副，是「背信棄義之舉，毫不尊重戰友」。黃其後於回應，否認有與校長達成任何協議，指一向以學生會利益優先，以維護學生權益為最大原則。
李於貼文中指去屆會長行事專橫、態度惡劣。他指，曾於去年十一月托黃於校委會會議上，跟進重啟首席副校長招聘一事，但十二月初向黃追問進展時，方知黃未有於校委會會議上提問，反而未有與幹事會其他成員討論下，與校長密談任命首副一事。李批評指黃雖然身為校委會成員，受保密條款約束，但黃「獨行專斷，自己魯莽下決定後再以通知其他幹事的姿態出現」，又指黃「不帶莊友孤身與校長閉門會談，更與學生會理念背道而馳」，是「背信棄義之舉，毫不尊重戰友」。
黃其後於Facebook發文回應，澄清「並沒有私下與校長達成任何協議」。黃指於會面中向校長表明「打算就校委會主度任命一事開設工作小組，撰寫報告」和「要求校長在幹事會任期結束前開始首席副校長的任命工作，以及確保學生參與」。就未有於校委會會議上提問，黃回應指在該次會議並無相關議程的情況下，突然提問不會有圓滿答案。而且黃認為，透過與校長會面比直接於會上提問可給予他更多空間游說校長。他強調於會面中「校方並沒有向我提出任何要求，而我亦沒有接受任何條件」。 黃承認處理手法確實有改進的地方，就引起誤會、擔憂致歉。
根據 Guide and Code of Practice for Members of the Council，本科生代表由本科生選出，是以個人身分獲委任的委員（ad personam）並以「信託人身分」（Trustee）出任校委會成員。校委會成員須以大學整體利益行事，並非亦不應以其選民代表的身分行事。
