昨日（12日）「光復港大 守衛我城」集會結束後有約三百人遊行到校長張翔官邸設立連儂牆及漆上抗議標語，要求張翔回應撤回聲明等訴求。張翔期後於陳祖為教授聯絡下願意現身與同學對話，惟對話開始不久後現場有人對以不同理由要求擇日再辦公開論壇。最終張翔承諾會於下周出席由學生會舉辦的公開論壇，對話亦隨即結束。不少現場人士對突然終止對話表示不滿，據悉建議「終止對話、擇日再辦」是由一telegram 「決策小組」討論及策動。
「光復港大」集會結束後，約三百人響應現場同學號召遊行至大學道一號校長官邸，向校長張翔表達意見。學生會準備了告示貼寫下意見和訴求，讓同學於官邸圍牆設立連儂牆。另外學生會亦於官邸大閘外的地面，以白漆漆上「近墨助紂枉為長 峻節不渝衛我城」，以模仿在大古橋上留下的抗議標語。
陳祖爲教授其後現身，表示可以與現場同學聯絡張翔出來溝通。約11時，陳向在場群眾宣佈張願意打開大門邀請同學入內對話，惟其兒子的友人身體不適正於二樓休息，因此希望在地下與在場群眾對話，以免打擾病人休息。數分鐘後張翔現身打開大門邀請現場群眾入內，但現場有人希望張走出閘外與學生對話。經過一輪討論後，雙方同意於大學道行車路斜坡上對話。
學生會署理會長黃程鋒首先代表現場群眾重申三大訴求，即撤回聲明、承諾保障言論自由及不懲處參與社運學生。張翔回應黃及現場提問時多番重申及解釋近日所發聲明的立場，但迴避是否願意撤回聲明的問題。張亦承諾不會容許警方在沒有拘捕令的情況下進入校園拘捕學生。
於12時過後、張翔正回覆第二位在場人士的提問時，現場有人以有人要趕尾班車、張翔答覆無新論點的理由，要求擇日再辦公開論壇。其他在場人士建議「要走可以自己走先」，但有關人士多番打斷正進行中的問答，持大聲公要求擇日再作公開論壇。最後張承諾下周舉辦公開論壇後，對話隨即結束。
有不少在場同學及校友對突然被終止對話表示不滿。有同學不明白為何要阻止現場同學繼續發問。亦有同學認為可擇日再辦論壇，但毋須只是在第二位在場人士發問時就急於終止對話。有校友表示最逼切的、要求與張翔對話的訴求清晰，而在張翔願意出來對話、現場仍有人希望繼續發問時，卻無端遭部份人「騎劫」然後解散。據悉建議「終止對話、擇日再辦」是由一telegram 「決策小組」討論及策動。
