幹事會早前使用房間後沒有盡責清理，妨礙屬會使用，評議會於 11 月底就此要求幹事會向社會科學學會提交道歉信。惟幹事會一直無遵從以上決議及另一次要求提交書面道歉的相關決議，直到日前才提交書面道歉，結果於本次評議會會議上再遭通過遺憾議案。此次是幹事會因「派對」房間及其後續事件，連續三次在評議會常務會議上遭通過動議遺憾。
評議會於 11 月 24 日的第五次常務會議上，要求幹事會在 12 月 10 日前就事件向社會科學學會提道歉信，但幹事會直無履行該決議。在 12 月 30 日的第六次常務會議上，社會科學學會指出幹事會仍未有致函道歉，行政秘書馬浩天聲稱因事忙無暇處理。評議會當時通過決議，要求幹事會於 1 月 7 日前提交道歉信，並就幹事會違反決議通過遺憾議案。
不過，原來幹事會亦沒有遵從新的決議，在 1 月 7 日前提交書面道歉。社會科學學會代表表示，學會在 1 月 23 日受到幹事會的書面道歉，希望幹事會解釋再次遲交的原因。行政秘書馬浩天此次則聲稱因莊內溝通問題而未能依時提交。
建築學會代表及文學院學生會代表均認同須就幹事會再次違反評議會決議再通過遺憾議案，亦指出行政秘書馬同學的「溝通問題」解釋不合理。最後評議會在無反對下通過對幹事會的遺憾議案。
同學對幹事會所為頗為不滿。盧同學認為，幹事會「自稱代表學生會，好似自己大曬咁」。張同學則認為幹事會本來無清理房間已經有錯在先，現時連道歉也不能好好道歉，反映幹事會態度惡劣。另有同學認為，幹事會的行徑同樣有辱學生會，昨日批評候選常務秘書麥嘉晉的行為可笑。
