今天（15日）是學生會被逐後首次在CEDARS主辦下舉辦的新生註冊日（RegDay）。雖然沒有學生會的迎新委員會協調，但全日運作大致暢順，沒有出現各種混亂情況。
本年RegDay與過往安排類似，新生先於陸佑堂註冊。由於學生會被逐，今年再沒有「Zone 0」的登記成爲學生會會員的部分，亦沒有學苑、校園電視的攤位。工作人員直接帶領新生前往各學院學生會（即「Zone 1」）繼續「RegDay」，完成後再前往「Zone 2」三聯會及「Zone 3」舍堂區域。各區域內的安排亦與過去大致相同。
現場所見，除了工作人員明顯比過去大幅減少而造成輕微不便外，全日各區秩序大致良好，運作暢順，並無各種混亂情況發生。有Zone 2 同學對人流「時多時少」感不解，另外亦有Zone 3 同學感覺整體人流偏少，但未知是RegDay由兩日延長至三日、出席新生人數減少抑或其他原因所致。

應對新生註冊日，校方明顯加強保安，校園四周安排多名保安駐守及巡邏。學苑及校園電視報道，學苑先後兩次嘗試張貼《學苑》號外，但均被保安撕去，其後有CEDARS人員指「校方不希望任何印有『香港大學學生會』的單張於新生註冊日出現」。
註冊日亦吸引多間傳媒到場採訪，有電視台記者及攝影師一度被CEDARS職員追截，其後獲放行繼續採訪。
